  Comments: While not a member of the crew, at age 10 I attended family day on the Canberra in 1963, brought aboard by the wife of an officer named Maxton, who lived on my street in San Diego. We watched an old Alan Ladd & Veronica Lake movie on board. I've never forgotten the name of the ship, and was thrilled to see this site. I don't remember where the ship was berthed, it was either San Diego or Long Beach, I believe.
